Thomas & Sharley here - together we are creativebyshar. In 2014, creativebyshar was developed, and we have been growing ever since. Creativebyshar, its in the name. I, Sharley, have loved any and all things creative since I could hold a pencil. This business is the definition of homegrown. We could not be more proud of how far we have come.

From hand drawn cards to custom design art, this business took great leaps. Then along came Thomas. The two of us met in 2022, and we got married July of 2024. Throughout our relationship, we have sought to be involved in each other’s hobbies. Creativebyshar was no different. Thomas jumps at any opportunity to help, be the muscles (and the brains), and support in any way possible. He really is the genius behind all of this, I just love to create and dream.

When we started planning our wedding (our very not so long process), we did not know where to really start or what moves to make first. All I knew is we had a major support system, a smart guy, and a creative girl. We came to find out that is really all you need!! We had a five month engagement that led up to the wedding of our dreams. What I learned throughout the wedding planning process were these three things:

-It is fun. It is exciting. It can be overwhelming.

-You can spend as much or as little money and get exactly what you want either way.

-You need help.

The season of engagement is supposed to be enjoyable and memorable - not a stressed to the max anxious bride moment.

Luckily, we had wonderful people who loved and surrounded us that made our vision come to life. I realized that I wanted to be able to make the same happen for other people. So I started passionately delving into planning and coordinating. We DIY’d a lot of our wedding, researched the best ways to make our dreams reality, and we still experienced fatigue. My dream is to be able to support those in the process of planning weddings and other events by being their point of contact, inspiration supporter, season encourager, and all around go to person because I have lived it. I’ve experienced the highs and lows, the fun and not so fun decision making, and the walking down the aisle feeling to the love of my life knowing all the planning led up to this one moment - spending forever with T, my forever lover and supporter of all of my dreams.
